 1. Showcase Innovative Solutions

 
The Innovation Centre aims to showcase the most innovative enterprise solutions through scenario driven proofs of concepts.  The showcased solutions will inform public sector and commerical clients on the cost benefits of 'Optimised Infrastructure', improved productivity of a 'People Ready' business and increased visibility of information in a Microsoft business solution.  Microsoft and partners organisations will be actively working together with clients to deliver quality proof of concepts leveraging both Microsoft and third party technologies.

 2. Improve Readiness & Proficiency

 
Partner and customer readiness and proficiency is a key component in developing innovative solutions.  Microsoft Consulting(MCS) will provide ’Best Practices’ consulting to drive quality partner solutions within the Innovation Centre via the Service Provision Fund.  The Innovation Centre will also host partner readiness events throughout the year for newly launched products. 

 3. Conduct 'Whole of Government' projects

 
Microsoft and the Queensland Government through the Service Provision Fund (SPF) has allocated over $ 2.5 million for government initiate innovation projects developed by partner organisations  The Innovation Centre provides server infrastructure and software to develop SPF projects.

 4. Leverage Collaborative Innovation Centre efforts

 
The Innovation Centre will form a satellite point in a network of Innovation Centres enabling collaborative partnerships in innovation.  Partners have the opportunity to leverage the network of centres incorporating Microsoft, QUT, Citec, Health, IIB and the ICT Learning Centre.
